We are still having overheating problems with the transit based engine in a boat.The current engine is basically a transit engine marinised by Mermaid Marine with a turbo & intercooler added rated at 130HP but we are not sure what base engine they have used.

We have a spare 70ps engine which are told is a good runner the question is could we exchange the engines and fit all the marine parts, turbo, intercooler & yellow spot injectors?? Not sure if the old engine has uprated pistons, bearings etc.If we do change the engines would it be better to swap the fuel pumps? or will it be easy to adjust the pump on the new engine to handle the extra power.
